And the hits just keep coming... The Trump administration is expected to appoint Cindy McCain, the wife of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), to a role in the State Department, The Associated Press reported Thursday. Which position McCain could step into is not yet clear, though one potential option could be as an ambassador-at-large — a post in which she could focus on a specific issue, such as human trafficking. The McCains discussed possible choices with President Trump during a dinner at the White House last month, the AP reported. John McCain, the powerful chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee and 2008 GOP presidential nominee, has been fiercely critical of Trump's foreign policy and national security operation since before the real estate mogul entered the White House. He has taken particularly sharp aim at Trump's proposed "America first" vision of foreign policy, which downplays the U.S. role in state building and foreign military intervention. McCain has also ripped Trump over his friendlier approach to Russia and other adversaries of the U.S. But as he faces mounting foreign policy challenges in Syria and North Korea, Trump has begun to take a traditional approach to international relations. In recent weeks, Trump has toughened his tone with regards to Russia, a major ally of Syrian President Bashar Assad, and has taken a more adversarial stance toward North Korea amid heightened international concerns over Pyongyang's weapons programs. thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/332005-trump-admin-considering-cindy-mccain-for-state-dept-job-report

And does she have any qualifications for the job, or is she getting it because she's the Duchess of Arizona?

And does she have any qualifications for the job, or is she getting it because she's the Duchess of Arizona? It shuts her hubby up and unites the Clans.

If McCain really did agree to shut up in exchange for this, I could see myself changing my mind about Trump.
But, of course, Trump wouldn't lift a finger to get McCain off our backs. Just his own. Being a populist man of the people in public service to the common man and all...

It would take a heckuva lot more than shutting up McCain to get me to change my mind about Trump.

I'm pretty sure shutting McCain up is the farthest thing from Trump's mind. I do believe Trump's just politically savvy enough to understand that he'd never have won the election if McCain hadn't bitched and moaned and pretended not to like him.

He knows the people of Arizona are going to wise up and fire his ass sooner or later. And he knows he taught is psychotic daughter not to do stupid things like giving money to obnoxious old men just for merely humanitarian reasons like family ties.
So of course he's putting the wife to work. What else?

Oh.
No, child molestation is more Donnie and Ivanka's style. Or if it isn't, McCain is a tad bit more discreet...
