That map makes Florida look like a dog's wiener with the red thing hanging out.

It's cool. It's the right thing to do. I don't know how they could have not done it, since their employees know they'd be sailing the ship out of harm's way anyway, and the food would spoil if no one ate it. And it's some decent publicity. It would be stupid not to do it, but corporations so often do the stupid thing, it's still nice to see.
But it seems like they had room on the ship for some civilians too. One the one hand, I can understand them not wanting to take on the liability for free, and I can definitely see them not wanting to be swamped by people desperate to leave. On the other hand, it sure would be a decent thing to fill that ship up.
It still amazes me that airlines started canceling flights days in advance, just to avoid flying aircraft into the danger zone. Yeah, fly the airplanes out, but fly them out full! And if you can fly planes in and fly them out, in time and full, get those planes down there! Corporate America, smh...

I filled up all my cars and I don't feel a bit bad about it. I didn't fill them up for shits and giggles. I did it so my husband would have a few weeks worth to get to and from work. Jeez, I hope the Jacksonville guy didn't take that advice.

Really? Fuck that shit. I love the doge. I really love the doge BUT I understand there do need to be animal free places. My husband is severely allergic to cats and if we had to evacuate we would be shit out of luck if there were cats in the hotel. He doesn't even have to touch the cat or be in the same room as the cat to have a reaction, btw. People track dander on their clothes and hands - he had a reaction after petting the neighbor's dog because he forgot a cat lived in the house.

Oh, like if you didn't buy that gas in Atlanta someone would have pumped it out of the ground into a tanker and hauled it down to fill the tanks of people who ran out idling on I-5. Not even.

Obliviously not but that guy shouldn't feel guilty about filling up his tank. Jacksonville's gonna get hit, too and he may need that gas in a few days.

If I were Zuckerberg rich, I would hire this guy to follow me around and be my ASL translator.

I just noticed there's a Climate Change forum. I guess I should've posted this there.
