Post any cool tip about anything in this thread. I love to get advice from real people who've tried things that work. I don't even care what it's about. Tools, cooking, whatever. This just happens to be something that worked for me and I hope it helps someone else.
I know most of you are guys and may not care but you may want to pass this on your wives and I'm just so excited I have to share. I felt like I was starting to show my age and decided injectables (Botox, etc) weren't really for me. I want to look natural - just younger. Anyway, I found some skincare products that really do work well for me and are inexpensive. Plus, a freebie.
Twice a day I wash my face with a moisturizing cleanser (I use Aldi's brand. It's cheap and doesn't make me dry or greasy)
(At night only I use a 10.00 Amazon dermaroller before serums - only at night! It's too rough to use more often)
Then, while my face is still damp (tip from esthetician), I PAT in Vitamin C serum with E Ferulic, the brand doesn't matter. I've used super expensive and super cheap (right now I'm using Timeless brand) BUT get it with the E ferulic. It really does make a difference.
Then, I pat in Argireline Solution 10% (The Ordinary brand) - I cannot recommend this stuff enough.
Then, I pat in Buffet also by The Ordinary.
Let that dry while I grease up my legs and then I add moisturizer to my face. Daytime, I use something light but at night I use coconut oil.
BTW, The Ordinary brand is fantastic and cheap. You can order it here. theordinary.com/
The serums from The Ordinary cost 5.00 - 7.00 each and last for months. That's cheaper than drugstore brands and it's very good quality.
Make sure you shake each time before you use this stuff, btw.
The new thing I added is FREE and has made the most dramatic difference. Face massage. I swear, I was starting to see the beginnings of the 11 lines between my eyes (WTF lines) and since I started the face massage every night, they've gone away. My girlfriend thought I got Botox. I saw results within a week, no kidding. Mine weren't deep at all so with deeper lines it may take longer BUT it will work.
I use olgatoja videos on Youtube but there are lots of others. www.youtube.com/user/olgatoja/videos There's a video for whatever area is bothering you and they work. I love the results. Just make sure you use oil so you don't pull your skin. The oil I've been using is Almond oil but only because I had some I needed to use up. I'll probably just use coconut oil when that's gone. I do my face massage at night while I'm watching tv (the moves are so easy, it only takes watching the video once or twice to get them) and then I take my PM shower so I can wash all the oil off and apply my serums before bed. Even without all the other stuff, I think I would see results with just the face massage.
The science makes sense. The muscles cause the wrinkles and the massage relaxes the muscles so the wrinkles are much less apparent.
